Amanda has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2018 and has been working in the field of ABA for 14 years. While working in the field, she has developed a strong passion for assisting children and families to become more independent. She especially enjoys working on early learner language development, use of aided language stimulation to teach AAC to nonverbal clients, and activities of daily living skills. Amanda received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Grand Canyon University in 2013. She went on to earn her Master’s Degree from Capella University in 2018 in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis. She was certified by the Virginia Board of Medicine in 2018. While in her graduate program, Amanda developed an extensive program for individuals who demonstrated high rates of problem behaviors when attending routine visits for health and safety. This program has been highly effective in assisting families in independently attending these appointments. Amanda has also developed a program that assists with increasing food intake for individuals who are picky eaters.
